Industrial Cooperation Days in Defence and Aerospace (ICDDA 2024)

The sixth Industrial Cooperation Days in Defence and Aerospace (ICDDA) event, previously held in 2013, 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2022, took place in Ankara, at the ATO Congresium, between April 17-19, 2024, with the support of the Ministry of National Defence of the Republic of Turkey, the Presidency of Defence Industry of the Republic of Turkey, and the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Turkey, and organized by the OSTIM Defence and Aerospace Cluster (OSSA).

ICDDA brought together major industrial and SME firms operating in the military and civilian, defense, aviation, and space sectors to find new markets, seize business opportunities, and establish partnerships. As a highly effective and respected organization, ICDDA organized bilateral business meetings, conferences, and seminars to identify target countries with unique needs and opportunities, and to translate potential collaboration possibilities in the defense and aviation sectors into concrete steps.

At ICDDA 2024, manufacturing and service provider SMEs had the opportunity to showcase their expertise in the civilian and military fields through planned bilateral business meetings with OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers), Tier 1 and 2 suppliers, and purchasing and supply chain officials from relevant institutions, both from Turkey and many other countries around the world.

A total of over 8,000 registered B2B business meetings were held during the event. Collaboration discussions took place between Turkish companies and companies and institutions from participating countries in America, Europe, Africa, and Asia.

The first day of the event began with opening speeches, followed by conferences on "The Place of SMEs in the International Aerospace Industry" and "The Impact of Supply Chain Management on Exports for Sustainability." Military, defense, and commercial attachés from many countries, government officials, end-users, and representatives from domestic and international companies participated in the conferences.

The second and third days of the event continued with workshops and B2B activities.

ICDDA had previously been awarded the "Defense Industry Special Award" by the Presidency of Defence Industries in 2014 and the "Defense Industry Promotion" special award in 2017, as a result of successful and effective bilateral business meetings held with the participation of supply chain and procurement officials from abroad.
