Turkish Airlines (THY) brought together companies aiming to operate in or designing aviation sector parts manufacturing at the Parts Manufacturing Exhibition held on March 10, 2010. The exhibition, attended by Cluster Executive Board Members and cluster member companies producing parts and systems for the aviation sector, also included a presentation providing information about the Ostim Defense Sub-Industry Cluster and outlining requests to THY.
The opening speech of the exhibition was given by THY Teknik A.Ş. General Manager Assoc. Dr. İsmail DEMİR, who provided information about the purpose of the exhibition and the activities of THY Teknik A.Ş. The afternoon session of the exhibition began with a presentation by Nuran İNCİ, Head of the Industrialization Department of the Undersecretariat of Defence Industry, on offset applications. The activities of the Ostim Defence and Aerospace Cluster were also presented.
The exhibition was attended by a team consisting of officials from 15 cluster member companies. They were accompanied by Ostim Board Chairman Orhan AYDIN and Cluster Executive Board Chairman Mithat ERTUĞ.
