The President of the Turkish Presidency's Defence Industry Directorate, Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir, and other institution officials held meetings in OSTİM. During his visit to OSTİM, Demir first received information about the clusters, Ostim Technopark Inc., Ostim Technical University, and Ostim Technology Research and Development Center Inc.
Pointing to the importance of domestic and national production through clustering activities in OSTİM and giving examples of application areas of clustering in 7 sectors, Chairman Demir stated that the positioning of OSTİM Technical University is important. Regarding the university, Demir shared his view that, “We believe that a chain of vocational high schools, vocational colleges, and universities can be implemented. A purposeful education system focused on vocational competence, proficiency, knowledge, and skills needs to be implemented. We can cooperate in this area as well.”
OSTİM Chairman Orhan Aydın also thanked Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir and his team for their visit. Aydın stated, "Together, we can achieve great things for our country through cooperation."
Demir and his delegation later visited Er Makina, Cetek Makina, EMGE, Akalın Isıl İşlem and Dizayn Makina companies.
