The "Industrial Competence Assessment and Support Project (EYDEP)," initiated by the Undersecretariat of Defence Industry (SSM) to enable companies operating within the industry to become qualified suppliers to the defense sector by conducting situation analyses and creating development plans, began on March 17, 2017, with training provided to auditor candidates by Havelsan and Roketsan. In line with the objectives of ensuring that auditor candidates can conduct audits with high quality and based on shared expectations, a "General Information on Materials Technologies" training was given by TAI on March 31, 2017, as part of the planned and selected training programs.
Monthly training programs are determined by SSM (Undersecretariat of Defense Industries), and in addition to SSM employees, employees from the Turkish Ministry of National Defense, foundation companies, relevant clusters and associations also participate in the trainings as candidate auditors. The trainings will continue until the end of 2017 at the Ostim Organized Industrial Zone Directorate, hosted by the Ostim Defense and Aerospace Cluster (OSSA).
