OSSA, together with its member companies, held bilateral business meetings at the Famex 2019 event in Mexico from April 24-27, 2019, as part of the URGE project. OSSA held discussions with Mexican and international companies and institutions, including BELL, GE Aviation, GKN Fokker, the Mexican Chihuahua Cluster, Spire, ADD Aviation, and the Mexican Queretaro Cluster, regarding potential collaborations and investment opportunities.
OSSA participated in the "Foreign Investors Seminar" organized by FEMIA (Mexican Aerospace Federation), one of the leading organizations in the Mexican aviation industry with more than 100 members including Airbus, Boeing, Thales and Honeywell, as part of the cooperation between OSSA and FEMIA. OSSA also attended the Cooperation Meeting held at the FEMIA stand.
During the meeting, FEMIA Supply Chain Managers, in collaboration with OSSA, provided our members with detailed information about business opportunities and needs in Mexico.
Thanks to the OSSA-FEMIA collaboration, an agreement was reached with officials that Turkish SMEs can meet Mexico's needs in the fields of casting, machine manufacturing, sheet metal forming, titanium and nickel forging, special processes, heat treatment, coating, assembly, composites, and raw materials. Thus, Mexican companies will benefit from the high-quality services and production of Turkish SMEs.
During the event, the Turkish Defense Attaché in Mexico, Lieutenant Colonel Uğur KURU, the Commercial Attaché, Ms. İnci Selin BAL SALKIM, and the Turkish Ambassador, Mr. Tahsin Timur SÖYLEMEZ, visited OSSA and its member companies, expressing their pleasure at seeing Turkish firms in Mexico. Furthermore, the Attaché, Commercial Attaché, and Ambassador informed the members about business opportunities and necessary steps to take in Mexico.
