OSSA Defense and Aerospace Cluster, in response to an invitation from THY Teknik as part of its localization activities, organized a technical inspection visit to THY Teknik facilities with a team of 40 people from 21 companies. The purpose of this visit was to introduce the aircraft and ground equipment parts that THY Teknik currently procures from abroad but which have high domestic production potential, and to initiate work on these parts with the participating companies based on their capabilities. During the presentation, THY Teknik General Manager Mr. İsmail Demir and Deputy General Manager Mr. Halil Tokel discussed the structure of THY Teknik, its future plans, the parts they have localized, and the R&D projects they are working on. The companies were divided into groups according to their capabilities and toured the hangars and workshops. They took samples to familiarize themselves with aircraft parts and to work on parts suitable to their capabilities. Following the visit, at an evaluation meeting, each company returned to Ankara with a project to be delivered to THY Teknik as soon as possible.
