The "Aviation Supply Chain Development and Export Conference," organized by the Turkish Ministry of Trade and Boeing, took place with the participation of OSSA member companies that hold AS 9100 certification or are in the certification process.
At the conference, Mr. Mustafa Ali YURDUPAK, Head of the Department of SME and Cluster Support at the General Directorate of Exports of the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Turkey, provided participants with information about "Global Supply Chain" support.
Following this, Handan ÖZÇELİK, Deputy General Manager of GÜR Metal, one of our member companies that has achieved successful results with Global Supply Chain support, gave a presentation after introducing GÜR Metal, explaining the KTZ support processes, operations, achievements, and the progress they have made towards becoming a subcontractor to Boeing.
Following Gür Metal's presentation, Boeing Supply Chain officials gave a presentation on "Becoming a Supplier to Boeing".
Furthermore, Boeing Supply Chain Officer Christina Wills stated that the Defense and Aerospace Cooperation Days (ICDDA) event, organized by OSSA and in which SMEs participate, is very important for them in terms of meeting with SMEs and exchanging information about processes, in order to help them become involved in Boeing's procurement processes. She also announced that they will be meeting with SMEs again at the ICDDA event in 2020.
