To strengthen cooperation between main contractors and SMEs in the defense and aerospace industry, the XXI SME Summit, organized by TOSYÖV in collaboration with OSTİM Defense and Aerospace Cluster (OSSA), SASAD, TSSK, and OSTİM Technical University, was successfully held in the OSTİM Technical University Conference Hall.
The opening of the summit was attended by the Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, the President of the Defence Industry Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of OSTİM Orhan Aydın, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of OSSA İbrahim Yarsan, and many other guests.
As OSSA, one of the stakeholders of the Summit, OSSA Chairman of the Board Ibrahim Yarsan also participated in the opening session and made assessments regarding the role of SMEs in the defense and aerospace sector, their position in the supply chain, and the strengthening of the cooperation ecosystem.
Within the scope of the summit, all components of the sector came together to comprehensively address the sustainability of the supply chain, the integration of SMEs with the main industry, and future cooperation opportunities.
Through panel sessions and B2B meetings, our participating companies had the opportunity to establish direct contact with main contractors, develop new business connections, and share their capabilities.
As part of the program, gifts were presented to the Minister of Industry and Technology, Mr. Mehmet Fatih Kacır, and the President of the Defence Industry, Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün, to commemorate the occasion.
We believe that the strength of our defense industry is possible with strong SMEs; and we hope that the Summit will contribute to concrete collaborations and long-term partnerships for our sector.
We would like to thank all the stakeholders who contributed to the summit and all the participating companies.
