The Undersecretariat for Defence Industry (SSM) has launched the "Industrial Competence Assessment Project (EYDEP)" to enable companies operating within the industry to become qualified suppliers to the defence sector by conducting situation analyses and creating development plans.
The project aims to evaluate defense, aviation, and space companies and enable them to secure a higher-quality share in defense sector projects. Furthermore, the project will facilitate the design and implementation of new investments, incentive models, and technological development strategies.
Within the EYDEP process, personnel from the main contractors in the defense industry and the Undersecretariat of Defense Industries (SSM) will be trained and will serve as auditors. The first training sessions have begun at the Ostim Organized Industrial Zone Directorate, hosted by the Ostim Defense and Aerospace Cluster (OSSA). Monthly training programs are determined by the SSM, and employees from the Turkish Ministry of National Defense, foundation companies, relevant clusters, and associations participate in the training.
