To the Attention of the Public,
As OSSA, we condemn the sanctions decision announced by the United States, citing the procurement of the S-400 air defense system, which is unbecoming of the principles of alliance.
The member companies of the OSTİM Defense and Aerospace Cluster Association (OSSA), which have worked tirelessly to create the defense platforms and systems our country needs, and which have also played significant roles in many projects carried out through international collaborations established by our country, will continue to stand by the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey's Defense Industry Directorate against the sanctions imposed on our country, as they have in the past and will do today.
With the understanding that "Strong SMEs mean a strong Turkey," our SMEs, which continued to work and produce even during the pandemic, sometimes in three shifts, will, as always, not hesitate to take on the responsibility by creating synergy and unity of strength in line with the needs of our defense industry.
As a result of the development and transformation of Turkey's defense industry infrastructure and capabilities, the best response to achieving a fully independent defense industry and eliminating dependence on foreign sources for critical subsystems and technologies is to continue working and producing.
At OSSA, we are ready to mobilize all our resources to support companies that serve the defense industry in developing and advancing their capabilities, thereby contributing to the sector.
The OSTİM Defence and Aerospace Cluster Association (OSSA), with its structure consisting of 269 strong subcontractor firms, will continue its work tirelessly to meet the needs of our country's defense industry, despite all the challenges.
The Presidency of the Republic of Turkey's Defence Industries Directorate (SSB), targeted by sanctions, along with its President Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir, Vice President Prof. Dr. Faruk Yiğit, Head of the Maritime Branch Mustafa Alper Deniz, Head of the Air Defence and Space Department Serhat Gençoğlu, and all SSB employees, respectfully inform the public that we will continue to work and produce tirelessly for the survival of our country, the unity of our state and nation, and a stronger defense industry, and that no force can stop us on this path.
