Retired Officer, Security Consultant and Author Mete Yarar, pointing out the importance of clusters for small companies, said, “The OSTİM Defense and Aerospace Cluster (OSSA) is at the forefront of cluster examples. Turkey has achieved a significant position in the world in the defense industry.”
During her visit to OSTİM, Yarar met with Orhan Aydın, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Ece Umay, OSSA Coordinator, İlhan Bağören, Chairman of the Communication Technologies Cluster Board of Directors, and other board members.
Mete Yarar stated that small businesses are very important, saying, "Innovation thrives with small companies. Large companies already make long-term business plans, so it's difficult for them to implement innovations quickly."
Highlighting the opportunities that clusters provide to companies, Yarar said: “Clusters create an ecosystem where small companies can grow. OSSA is at the forefront of cluster examples. Turkey has achieved a significant position in the world in the defense industry. We have surpassed France by having 7 companies in the Defense News Top 100 list. It is important to continue this.”
Yarar later visited OSTİM Technical University Rector Prof. Dr. Murat Yülek.
