The Defence Industry Manufacturers Association (SASAD) held a symposium on "War in the Digital Environment." The symposium discussed potential threats, solutions, and opportunities for Turkey. The Ostim Organized Industrial Zone Directorate participated in the symposium with a Defence Industry Cluster stand.
The symposium, held in the Conference Hall of the Undersecretariat of Defence Industry, was attended by Undersecretary of Defence Industry Murad Bayar, Ostim Board Chairman Orhan Aydın, military officials, representatives of companies operating in the defence industry, and numerous guests. The symposium provided participants with detailed information on topics such as network structures, digital warfare, cyber terrorism, NATO and similar studies worldwide, and internet security.
Undersecretary of Defense Industry Murad Bayar stated, “The increasing seriousness of the situation regarding warfare in the digital environment and the growing importance of military network structures have created a need for discussion on this issue among military, civilian, industrial, and academic circles. Information technologies, which are beginning to play a significant role in defense and security, are gradually eliminating the need to engage in direct conflict.”
